NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School boys soccer team beat their rival the Kittatinny Cougars 5-2, when they played them away on Wednesday.

Leading the Braves in their victory over the Cougars, Kevin Ayoso scored two goals.  David Crowley, Dylan Decker, and Joey Spadafora, each found the net once.

Two assists were credited to Christian Calderaro, two to Luca Morello and one to Christian Hastie.

Newton’s keeper, Noah Metzgar had two saves against the Cougars.

The Braves moved their overall record as well as their conference-division record to 3-1, as they host Jefferson on Friday, September 21, beginning on Newton’s turf field at 4 p.m.
