NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School boys soccer team shut out North Warren 7-0 when they played them away on Thursday, October 6.
Patrick Bresney was the first Brave to score a goal 23 minutes into the game against North Warren. Nick Daschko, Liam Kerrick, Edward Lynch, Richie Reczka, and Greg Rinehart each scored one goal.
Sean Coiro led the Braves in assists, contributing two. Bresney Daschko and David Crowley each had one assist as well.
Newton took 18 shots on North Warren’s goalie Steven Skuropacki who had four saves. Newton’s goalies, Sam Miller and James McMahon only got two shots on goal. Miller had five saves and McMahon had two.
The Braves are 9-1 overall and 4-1 in their conference-division They are currently in second place behind High Point who leads with a 5-0 conference-division record but a 9-1 record overall as well.
The Newton High School Boys soccer team will take on Blair Academy away on Tuesday, October 11 at 4:15 p.m.
