NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School boys soccer team won 1-0 over Hackettstown, when they hosted them on Tuesday.

Newton’s record so far this season is 4-1, while Hackettstown’s record is 2-2-1 so far this season. The teams played a tough game, going into the half with a 0-0 score.

The Braves came out in the second half and scored to take the lead and kept it for the remainder of the game. Scoring for Newton was Luke Kerrick, assisted by Remy Ivaldi.

The Newton High School boys soccer team will play away against Jefferson on Friday, September 20 beginning at 4 p.m.
