Newton Boys Soccer Win Third Straight Game

NEWTON, NJ—Newton Boys Soccer won their third straight game on Tuesday, September 15 against Wallkhill Valley, 8-1.

Six Braves contributed to the win.  Alejandro Patino and Roman Ivaldi each had two goals. Kevin Sosa, Kyler Steele, Patrick Bresney, Eddy Lynch. 

Assists were made by six Newton players as well. Bresney had three assists. Sosa had two. Kyler Steele, Benjamin Docherty, Lake DeLuca and Johnny Costa each had one assist.

Newton’s two goalies, Tanner Euston and Sam Miller, both had two save with Miller entering the game with 25 minutes left in the second half.

“Our philosophy is to improve every day”, said Coach Martin. “Overall, we played very well both offensively and defensively, but as always, I will challenge my players to continue to improve on the small things that can help us accomplish our goals.”

The boys remain undefeated in their season, making their record 3-0. Their next game is Thursday, September 17, home against Kittatinny at the Newton High School turf field at 4 p.m.
