NEWTON, NJ—The Newton Boys Baseball Team shut out Lenape Valley, 10-0, when they played them home on Monday, April 18.

Scott Price led the Braves on and off the mound. He pitched six innings, shutting out Lenape Valley with five strike-outs, allowing one walk and two hits.

Price contributed the most RBIs for the Braves as well, with three. He went 2-for-3 at bat, scoring one run and getting a double.

Aldo Vallorosi and Cole Van Luvender each got two RBIs for the Braves and went 3-for-3 at bat. Vallorosi scored three runs and hit a double.

Billy Carson, Bobby Fehr, and Luke Young each had one RBI for the team. Carson went 1-for-4 at bat, scoring one run.

Fehr went 1-for-2, he was hit by a pitch, but still scored two runs for the Braves. Young went 2-for-3, earning a base on balls and scoring two runs.

In the Braves' 18 trips to the plate they got 12 hits, 10 RBIs, two doubles and one walk in the game against Lenape Valley.

The boys’ record overall is 6-1 and they are 2-0, leading the NJAC-Colonial Division. The Braves will take on Vernon, away on Friday, April 22 at 4 p.m.
