NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School football team shut out North Warren 47-0, when they played them away on Thursday, November 3.
On Defense, Jimmy Harding and Jonathan VanNess each had one sack and Ryan Kaiser had two interceptions.
Newton’s Chase Cramer led the team scoring 12 points. Marcus Coward, Kaiser, Will Larsen, Nick Polyak and Price made it to the end zone as well.Kicker Nicolas Giordano went three for three on extra points. Joey DeLuca also made both of this extra point kicks.
Cramer had three carries which totaled 152 yards, which included a touchdown run of 64 yards and one of 73 yards. Kaiser’s two interceptions included a 52 yard interception return. The Braves ended up scoring 21 points in the first quarter.
Larsen had three carries for 55 yards, which included a 16 yard touchdown run. Price had a 62 yard touchdown pass from Luke Young, while Coward had a 44 yard fumble return and Polyak added in a five yard touchdown run.
Additional Newton players with high rushing numbers included Snyder with 44 yards, Julian Sibblies with 26 and Polyak with 16. Young added in a total of 48 yards passed during the game.
The Newton High School Football team ends its season with an overall record of 8-1 and a conference division record of 4-1.
