NEWTON, NJ—The Lady Braves’ field hockey team won 2-1 over Lenape Valley when they played them away on Tuesday.

The Newton High School girls field hockey team played a tight game against Lenape Valley, allowing Victoria Docherty to take the lead and score both goals for the team.

“It was a close game,” Head Coach Lisa Bechtel said. “We were down 1-0 and we scored to tie it up going into half time. We came out stronger in the second half to score again and prevent Lenape from notching another goal.”
