NEWTON, NJ—The Newton Braves Football Team lost against Dumont, 42-13 when they played them away on Saturday, November 14 at 1 p.m.

Marcus Coward and Adam R. Schlereth each had one touchdown, giving the Braves 12 points. Devin Mager made one of the two attempted field goals, giving Newton one extra point, making it 13.

Luke Young led the Braves with 117 total yards rushed, passed, and received.

Alex Van Ness led Newton with 14 tackles and assists, closely followed by Schlereth with 12 and Young with 11.

Throughout the season, Cramer led the team with 17 touchdowns, followed by Will Larsen with eight.  Mager made 12 out of the 21 attempted field goals and Young passed a total of 753 yards, rushed 64 yards and only had two fumbles.

The Braves’ overall record was 4-6. Their record for the Northwest Jersey-Independence league was 2-4.
