NEWTON, NJ—The Newton girls soccer team shut-out Blair, 5-0, on Wednesday, October 14, when they played them on the road.

Kayleigh Furth led the team in goals, scoring three. She was followed by Nina Matullo and Alyssa Petry, who each contributed one goal. Courtney McHale and Furth each had two assists in the game.

Newton outshot Blair, 15-5. Goalkeeper for Newton, Karis Steele, had five saves against Blair’s five shots that were taken on Newton’s goal.

The girls’ record is now 7-6-1. They play home against Kittatinny on October 16 at 4 p.m.
