NEWTON, NJ - Newton High School alumni had a grand slam on the softball diamond for Susquehanna University.  Sophomore Jackie Gore's four runs contributed to the 11-0 win over SUNY Geneseo, playing in Leesburg Florida on  March 8 according to Susquehanna University newsletter.

In the game against Roger Williams Gore was walked and eventually scored adding to the 6-1 victory.

Gore has been a big contributor for the Susquehanna team from the start.  Last year, as a freshman in the starting lineup Gore hit two walk-off home runs in an opening day double header.  She also had a triple, eight RBIs and scored four runs to earn the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week as a freshman.

Gore is studying environmental studies and marketing at the Pennsylvania school.
