WHIPPANY PARK, NJ – The Braves handled the Wildcats on Friday night with a 34 -7 victory on the road.
Whippany Park got the board first, taking advantage of an interception. That would be their only trip to the endzone.
Arron Fantasia put up six for the Braves on a short run. Derek Campbell was good for the extra point. Jack Young scored on a 42 yard run and punched through from the one yard line for another touchdown.
Ryan Pappas ran back an interception for a 45 yard score. Takeo Sibblies scored on a two yard run. SIbblies racked up 114 yards on 22 runs. Young rushed for 101 yards on nine attempts. Fantasia covered 48 yards on 11 carries.
Young went to the air only four times, connecting with Pappas once for 28 yards and Fantasia three times for 20 yards.
Jabari Oxley was credited with a sack.
Campbell went three for three on extra points. Robert McCullough went one for two, missing the extra point after the fourth touchdown.
The Braves are now 1-2. They will go to High Point on Friday with a 7 p.m. kick-off.
