Newton High School Wrestling Team Weekend Matches Recap

NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School Wrestling Team competed against two schools this weekend, Dumont and Pascack Valley. Newton won both of the matches.

On Saturday Newton crushed Dumont 57-12.  The Braves then went on to defeat Pascack 40-26.

Newton has a winning record of 9-7, putting them in second place in their NJAC Freedom division behind High Point.  The Braves will go to High Point on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

NEWTON, NJ—A Stillwater woman is facing drug charges after crashing her car into a telephone pole on Monday, June 18 police said.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — No injuries have been reported in an incident that shut down Bridgewater Commons Mall Thursday evening after a fight involving a crowd of 40-50 people.

Police are still investigating unconfirmed reports of shots being fired, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
