STOCKHOLM, NJ – It was a rough ending to their regular season for the Newton Lenape Valley ice hockey team, falling to Vernon 8-1 on Saturday.  The night before they had been blanked by Livingston 3-0 at Mennen.

NLVs only goal came from Andrew Dalessandro, on the assist from Ryan Wanamaker in the first period. The Vikings took 30 shots on the NLV goalie. 

Newton ended the season with an overall record of 11-7-4 and a division of 5-2-3 putting them in second place in the Haas Division. 

NLV is scheduled to play the first round of state competition on Wednesday, Feb 8 at Mennen beginning at 4 p.m.
