NEWTON, NJ—A Newton man was indicted by the Sussex County Grand Jury at the Sussex County Court House, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.
Michael Gorglione, 29 of Newton was indicted on one count of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a weapon. The indictment stems from an incident in March at which Gorgolione was taken into custody by Newton police having been charged with stabbing a man in the chest. The incident took place on Spring Street.
The case was presented to the Grand Jury by Assistant Prosecutor Laura L Nazzaro and arraignment is set to be before the Superior Court in Newton within the next six weeks, according to Koch.
A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only.
