NEWTON, NJ—A Newton woman is facing drug charges after being picked up for a burglary.  On January 11, around 10 a.m. Newton Police Officers picked up Jamie O’Dea, 31 after being identified as a suspect in the theft of a laptop computer and cigarettes, police said.

According to police, after O’Dea was picked up on Pine Street they found she had a no bail warrant from Sussex County Superior Court.

O’Dea was searched when she was taken into custody.  Police found she had marijuana, a pot pipe and two hypodermic needles, police said.

O’Dea was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  She was not charged with the theft because the victim declined to press charges, police said.

She was processed and turned over to the Sussex County Sherrif’s Department on the warrant.
