NEWTON, NJ—The Newton Pride Foundation will be hosting its first ever Last Minute Christmas Craft Fair and Holiday Fun Day. The family event will be on Saturday, December 19 at Newton High School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Newton Pride Foundation is looking for more crafting vendors to be involved in the holiday event. Six foot tables are available for $40 per crafter. “Our biggest push right now is being in need of crafters of all kinds,” said Pam Mickiewicz, one of the organizers of the event.
There will be crafts for kids to make Holiday gifts for their loved ones for a small fee of $5 per each gift making experience.
The event gives people a chance to do some last minute Christmas shopping, which includes gifts such as unique handmade crafts, baked goods, flowers, etc.
Other activities include:
- Pictures with Santa from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
- Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest at 1 p.m.,
- Tricky Tray style raffle, where donated gifts will be raffled off and
- Caroling by members of the Newton Schools Choirs.
The mission of the Pride Foundation is to ensure excellence in public education through the use of private resources and to strenghten Newton's community involvement in our schools, according to the foundations web site.
