NEWTON, NJ— Newton Pitcher Scott Price led the third-seeded Braves in a four hit-shutout over Pope John in the quarterfinal Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament.  Price struck out eight Lions giving up only walking two in the 3-0 victory on Newton’s Memory Park field on Saturday.

Three players contributed RBIs for the Braves; Chase Cramer, Aldo Vallorosi, and Luke Young.

Cramer and Young went 1-for-3, each with a stolen base, Vallorosi went 0-for-3, and Young scored one run.

Michael Luzzi went 2-for-2 with a double and a stolen base, scoring one run for the Braves.

The Braves will now host 10-seeded Hackettstown in the Semifinal round on Saturday, May 7, beginning at 2 p.m. at Memory Park.
