126 lbs. Billy Talmadge (HP) won over Ryan Sosa (N) with a pin in 0:19

132 lbs. Michael Freda (N) won over RJ Brevot (HP) with a 12-10 sudden victory

138 lbs. Shane Kobis (HP) won over Jake DeLuca (N) with a 4-1 decision

145 lbs.  Nicholas Giordano (N) won over Trey Osborn (HP) with a  4-2 sudden victory

152 lbs. Wyatt McCarthy (N) won with a High Point forfeit

160 lbs. Jonathon Borgognoni (N) won over Aric Wingle (HP) with a 6-4 decision

170 lbs. Nick Brigante (N) won over Grayson Sabo (HP) with a 3-2 sudden victory

182 lbs. Joseph DeLuca (N) won over Matthew McDonnell (HP) with a pin in 2:40

195 lbs. Hunter Flores (HP) won over Devin Mager (N) in an 8-4 decision

220 lbs. Cliff Rutter (HP) won over Luke Fischer (N) with a 6-4 sudden victory

285 lbs. Thomas Hubmaster (HP) won over Jimmy Harding (N) with a pin in 4:51

The Newton High School Wrestling team is currently 9-8 in the season overall and 2-1 in the conference division. They will host Warren Hills on Friday, February 3, beginning at 7 p.m.
