NEWTON, NJ—Karma Cat & Zen Dog, a New Jersey-based nonprofit animal rescue has partnered up with Benefit Wines to create a limited edition line of six estate-grown imported wines to help raise money for animals in need.
Executive Director, Christie Arlotta, announced the partnership on Wednesday, June 15. The project is about “how these certified, organic and vegan-friendly wines will be helping homeless, abandoned, or abused animals throughout NJ.” said Arlotta.
The wines are imported from Lontue Valley, Chile and are vegan-friendly. They come in Malbec, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Carmenere.
A significant portion of the purchase price is donated to Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society to help with their continuing charitable efforts to save the lives of animals in need.

The Karma Cat & Zen Dog Rescue Society’s mission is to “provide a safe and peaceful haven for homeless, abandoned, or abused animals,” stated Arlotta. The nonprofit helps to decrease the number of cats and dogs that are being destroyed in kill shelters through the work of their foster, spray/neuter, trap-neuter-return and education programs.
“The vision of the Karma Cat & Zen Dog Rescue Society is a world where every companion animal is respected, fed, warm, happy, and not in danger of being killed because it is temporarily homeless,” according to a press release discussing the nonprofit’s partnership with Benefit Wines.
