SPARTA, NJ – Robots are about to take over Sparta High School on Saturday as the Robotics team hosts their first competition on Saturday, Feb 13.  More than 35 teams have registered to compete in the VEX Regional Robotics competition.

The event begins at 8 a.m. and is free to attend.  Food will be available for purchase throughout the day with proceeds going to support the Sparta High School Robotics team.

Participating teams will be putting their ‘bot’ designs to the test hoping to secure a chance to compete at the state championships.

Sparta’s robotics team has had a strong season so far.  Last year they earned the opportunity to travel to Kentucky to compete in the World Games.
