SPARTA, NJ – A Brooklyn man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop for speeding on Route 15. On July 7 around 3 a.m. Sparta Police Officer Erick Finley saw Faud Razzilov driving his 2014 Nissan too fast, according to police.
When Finley spoke with the driver and the three passengers, he smelled raw marijuana coming from the car. Finley searched the car after another officer arrived. The search yielded marijuana in the back seat area, police report.
The 28-year-old admitting the marijuana was his and he was taken into custody, according to police. He was brought to the Sparta Police Department headquarters for processing. Razzilov was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and ticketed for speeding and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
Razzilov was released pending a court date.
