SPARTA, NJ - A Newton woman faces multiple charges after police were called to report her erratic driving on Glen Road.  On March 24 around 8:40 a.m. Sparta Police followed up on the report, which included the license plate information and a description of the car, according to police.

Sparta Cpl. Craig Grauerholz found the 2006 white Honda Accord, driven by Jennifer Morgan, as she pulled into the parking lot of the United Methodist Church.  Morgan, 44, opened the car door and vomited, police report.

Grauerholz suspected Morgan was under the influence of drugs.  He had Morgan perform field sobriety tests and then took her into custody.  At Sparta Police Department haedquarters, Morgan was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert who determined she was under the influence of a narcotic, police report.

Morgan was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, failure to possess a valid insurance card, no liability insurance, DWI while on school property or within 1000 feet of a school.  She was released several hours later to a sober adult pending a court date.
