Starting on March 26, Sparta Boy Scout Troop 150 is excited to announce our second Annual Mulch Sale.

What exactly is a Mulch Sale you ask?

Will Boy Scouts be roaming the neighborhoods of Sparta with dump trucks and wheelbarrows full of mulch?

Well not quite.

Last year’s fundraiser was so well received that many friends and neighbors asked that we do it again-

Quite simply, Troop 150 will start taking orders for bags of mulch starting on the 26th and will complete the order process on April 30th.

All bags of this organic high quality cedar mulch are $6.00 and measure 3.0 Cu/ft. A variety of colors are available including Black, Brown Natural, and Red, but quantities are limited so order early and order often! As comparison, most “Box Stores” sell the same amount for $5.50 but you have to pick it up and then clean and air out your car!

Delivery is included for orders of 11 bags or more.  For smaller orders, Troop 150 will set up a “pick-up” station at the Acting-A-Part Parking Lot where our Scouts will load your car for you. Acting-A-Part is located at 409 Woodport Rd. Sparta.

All mulch will arrive on May 12. Just in time for Mother’s Day!

This fundraiser as we mentioned was so well received in the community for its uniqueness, convenience, and quite honestly the opportunities it provided The Boy Scouts of 150.  Through their efforts and the support of our Sparta neighbors, the money raised helped to fund our Adopt-A-Family Event, purchase/replace some much needed equipment, pay our fees/expenses for some truly exciting trips and outings and most importantly kept them from knocking on your door to sell other items.  It’s a Win-Win!
