SPARTA, NJ – It will be another week end of community activities this week with fireworks scheduled for Friday and Family Movie Night scheduled for Saturday.

Lake Mohawk Country Club announced there will be a second fireworks show over the lake on July 15 at 9 p.m. No raindate is scheduled.  The show on July 4 was delayed by computer issues stemming from rain.  By the time the sky show began, many had left the viewing areas.

The country club said in their announcement there will be viewing from “Whitedeer Plaza, the Sunken Garden, Lower Boardwalk and Playground for members and guests.”  Unlike the Fourth of July event, beach one is not available because the Lake Mohawk Country Club Powerboat Club had already reserved the location.

Initially a Labor Day fireworks display had been discussed but scheduling issues required it to be moved to July 15.

On Saturday, July 16 the Sparta Recreation Department is hosting the second summer outdoor movie, Disney’s "Inside Out" at Dykstra Park.  The park opens at 6:30 p.m. for pre-movie activities including DJ music, prize drawings, face painting and tattoos.  Refreshments will be available for purchase.

The rain date for "Inside Out" is July 23.  The next summer movie is "The Art of Zootopia" scheduled for Saturday, August 20.
