Sparta Historical Society features unique and interesting cars from 1900-1980.  This year's theme is "Classic Convertibles".  Event includes open house at the Van Kirk Homestead Museum.  Visit the newly opened permanent transportation exhibit called "Travel In and Around Sparta".  Food by VFW available for purchase.   People's Choice Award returns as well as music.  Public and donations welcomed!

NEWTON, NJ—A Fords resident is facing drug charges after a traffic stop on Main Street. On February 14 around 9:30 p.m. Officer Steven Kneidl stopped Patricia Henry, 61 for a broken headlight, police said.

SPARTA, NJ – A Newark man with 18 warrants was picked up in a traffic stop on Route 15.  On February 10 around 1:30 a.m. Officer Thomas Herd stopped a speeding white Toyota with tinted windows driven by Tyrone Ellison, Jr., 32, police said.
