Blue & Gold Club Beefsteak Dinner, Comedy Show and Tricky Tray

Ready for an amazing night out filled with laughter, great food and fantastic prizes? The Pope John Blue & Gold Club offers self-proclaimed “Mother of All Comedians” Robin Fox as the headliner for its 2019 Beefsteak Dinner, Comedy Show and Tricky Tray being held 6 PM, Saturday, November 16 at Pope John XXIII Regional High School, 28 Andover Road, Sparta.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing an award-winning comedian to our open-to-the-public fundraiser,” says event chairperson Taryn Peppo. “Robin’s hilarious act, combined with the mouth-watering beefsteak dinner from top New Jersey caterer The Brownstone, and the fun and excitement of the tricky tray, make this year’s event a fantastic night out at an unbeatable price!”

New Jersey mom Robin Fox decided after 17 years of being a housewife that being the funniest mom on the block wasn’t enough. Ten years ago, Fox moved her comedy act from the school bus stop to the stage where she puts a unique spin on her 27-year marriage, kids, her aging parents, suburban life and so much more. Fox quickly rose through the comedy ranks and can be seen performing at top Comedy Clubs and venues throughout NYC and the northeast. Winner of the 2010 Gilda’s Club Laugh-Off, Philadelphia’s Funniest -1st runner-up, Bud Lights Ladies of Laughter, at the finals for The Laugh-Off at Caroline’s, and Baltimore’s funniest, she can be heard on rotation on XM and Sirius Satellite Radio.

The evening kicks off with a Brownstone-catered beefsteak dinner with unlimited wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages, followed by Fox’s comedy act, then the tricky tray drawings.  Tickets cost $75./adult. (Attendees must be at least 21-years old.) Checks and credit cards accepted. Interested parties may download ticket order forms at www.popejohn.org/apps/pages/bluegoldclub, or email beefsteak@popejohn.org to obtain a ticket request form.  Questions may be directed to Peppo at (908)-296-5532.

This event benefits the Pope John Blue & Gold Club, an organization of parent volunteers who raise funds that go towards Spirit Awards, scholarships, transportation costs, uniforms, costumes and more for athletic teams, robotics teams, the Pope John Players, and many more student clubs and teams.

Located at 28 Andover Road in Sparta, New Jersey, Pope John XXIII Regional High School is an 8th grade - 12th grade institution committed to the Catholic tradition of education.  Guided by the belief that each child has unique gifts and is entitled to an excellent education, the Pope John community fosters its students’ intellectual, spiritual and physical growth, and champions the importance of social responsibility.  For additional information regarding Pope John XXIII Regional High School, visit www.popejohn.org or call the main office at (973) 729-6125.
