Family Promise Virtual 5K

$30 Participation Fee

$100 suggested additional fundraising goal per participant 

How it works: A virtual 5k is a race that you can run, walk or jog on the road, in the woods, or on a treadmill. You run at your own pace & time it (or not) yourself.  

Register then create your own page!  

Send your page to family & friends for support! Donations made on your behalf will be sent directly to Family Promise, a 501(c)(3) organization that provide resources, referrals, linkages and assistance to families experiencing homelessness to help them in obtaining or maintaining housing. The economic impacts of COVID-19 reach far and wide and for families in Northern NJ, the lack of affordable housing combined with job loss create a concerning climate. All donations are tax-deductible.

Prizes will be given to the highest fund racer, the participant with the most creative route, best costume & more!  #fpfivek

Newton Police: Traffic Stop for Speeding Ends with Drug Charges

NEWTON, NJ—A Somerset man is facing charges for possession after he was pulled over on Main Street for speeding. On October 10, around 12:29 a.m. Newton Police officer Ptl. Steven Kneidl stopped Nicholas Guzman, 19 for going 42 MPH in a 25 MPH zone, police said.
