Girl Scout STEAM Program

Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey is inviting girls in kindergarten through grade 5 to participate in a five-week S.T.E.A.M. program at Sparta United Methodist Church, 71 Sparta Ave, Sparta, NJ. Open to girls who are not currently in Girl Scouts, the program will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. starting February 20.

Girls will explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. In addition, girls will have fun with robotics, coding, embroidery, astronomy, and other S.T.E.A.M. topics, while learning all about Girl Scouts and Girl Scout traditions, too.

Cost is $40, which includes Girl Scout membership and program.

Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey serves girls in kindergarten through grade 12 in 160 municipalities in Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, and northern Warren counties.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — No injuries have been reported in an incident that shut down Bridgewater Commons Mall Thursday evening after a fight involving a crowd of 40-50 people.

Police are still investigating unconfirmed reports of shots being fired, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
