Sparta Historical Society pays homage to the cultural influences from the Black Forest of Germany and Austria with its Van Kirk Homestead Museum's fall exhibit.  This exhibit explores architecture, cuckoo clocks, meerschaum pipes, magnificent carved plaques and other traditional arts seen in the early days of Lake Mohawk and other German communities throughout the area. 2PM talk

NEWTON, NJ—A Newton woman was hit by a car while crossing Mill Street. Isabel Chub, 35, refused medical treatment after being hit by Francis Jennings, 62 on Monday, October 15 according to police.
