Newton Man Pleads Guilty to Eluding and Possession

June 30, 2020

NEWTON, NJ—A Newton man pled guilty to two crimes when he went before Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 15.

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced that Joseph Hoffman, 68, Newton pled guilty to eluding and possession of CDS, along with driving Under the Influence and Reckless Driving.

Boating Safety Courses to Resume at Lake Mohawk

Both the NJ State Police Marine Bureau and U.S. Coast Guard have authorized Boating Safety Courses to resume effective immediately with some restrictions.
