NEWTON, NJ—The Sussex County Department of Health and Human Services, partnering with Division of Senior Services, Municipal Alliance, and the veterans Committee, will be sponsoring a veterans’ outreach program in conjunction with Friendly’s Restaurant titles “Veterans Cruise Night”.
The event will take place at Friendly’s Restaurant, located at 9 Hampton Road in Newton on Friday, August 23 from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m.
According to the Sussex County Veterans Administration, attendees can “come out and see classic hot rods being displayed by local car enthusiasts."
Representatives from the Sussex County VA will be on hand so those attending will also have the opportunity to become better informed about services available to them .
Robert McCann, Vietnam Era Veteran from the Sussex County Veterans Committee said, "In all too many instances, veterans are unaware of the programs and services available to them. The agencies in attendance will provide information and answer questions. In an effort to inform veterans of services available to them, we extend a special invitation to all veterans and their families to attend the Veterans Cruise Night.”
