NEWTON, NJ – Holy week and Passover are going to be celebrated this year, as they always will be, just a little differently because of the coronavirus pandemic. 

B’nai Shalom of Sussex NJ offers their Shabbat on Facebook and has a number of resources on their website.

Christ Community Church is offering their 10 a.m. Sunday services on YouTube with information and links posted on their Facebook page.

Christ Church, the Episcopal Church will be streaming their Sunday services on Youtube. Communion will be distributed on the patio on Sundays from 10 to 11 a.m.  Bible Study is being held on Zoom. Wednesday Conversations with the Canon will also be on Youtube.

First Baptist Church is offering messages and services on YouTube

First United Methodist Church of Newton’s Pastor Todd will be recording a sermon, creating a worship video and sharing it with the congregation via Mail Chimp and social medial, according to their website. Links to YouTube and Zoom are on their Facebook page.

First Presbyterian Church of Newton is offering weekly worship services on YouTube.

The traditional ecumenical Good Friday service will be handled by the individual churches. 

Mt Calvary Baptist Church does not have a website. 

Newton Covenant Reformed Church will be streaming their services on Facebook at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Redeemer Lutheran Church has their resources available on their website.

Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church’s website only says they are closed.  There is no published information about alternate ways to attend Mass.
