NEWTON, NJ—The magical Easter Bunny of Newton made its appearance earlier than expected as Easter eggs popped up on Dogwood Drive.
Nealy a dozen colorful paper eggs were hung on telephone poles and trees lining both sides of Dogwood Drive from Robin Place to the end where it met up with Pine Street.
The resident who hung them wished to remain anonymous but said they were inspired after seeing one of the neighbor’s families out having some Easter fun on Sunday, making an Easter Egg Tree.
“I thought it would be fun for the kids to go on an egg hunt since all the town ones had to be canceled. Families could walk and find them, and it is not too far of a walk for little legs,” the neighbor "Easter Bunny" said.
