Birth Haven created a series of documentary style videos as part of this effort.

In this final video we hear from Bailey, a young girl who was born while her mother was was receiving services at Birth Haven 10 years ago. You can visit to see all the episodes and donate or see our posts via our social media channels.

Executive Director, Tina Magarino said “the videos provide a unique insight into the difficulties our Birth Haven residents face during their journey through unexpected homelessness and pregnancy. We hope people will be inspired to send the videos to their friends and circulate them on social media, raising awareness about Birth Haven and the epidemic of homelessness”.

This approach will allow Birth Haven to use more than 95% of the proceeds of this drive to support the shelter. Tina Magarino explained that “many of the residents need basic help for themselves and their babies. This includes GEDs and resume creation, parenting, household finance, and cooking classes. Residents are required to either work, attend school or volunteer their time. We have a mandatory savings program as well so many residents leave with funds to secure an apartment or meet other financial needs”.

Birth Haven hopes that people will view the videos and be inspired to help. The need is great and the support makes a massive difference. Contributions to this campaign will not only inspire hope but are an investment in the future of these mothers and babies.
