SPARTA, NJ – The owner of the Leather Zone in Sparta is doing what he can to help during the coronavirus pandemic. Hratch Kechishian or "HK" has been cutting fabric and elastic, assembling free kits for people to sew into masks.
“As of today, I’ve given out about 350 mask kits,” HK said.
They are going out in bundles of 20-25, for people with sewing machines to assemble at home.
The leather artisan said he will continue this initiative as long as his supply lasts. He said he has also contacted friends in the business to ask for additional supplies.
Anyone interested in picking up mask kits is asked to call 973-726-4117 so he can get them prepared. The Leather Zone is located in Theater Center near to RJ Mars.
