NEWTON, NJ – The Town of Newton has announced some modification of the services provided by the Senior Shuttle. These adjustments have been made in an effort to maintain the health and welfare of Newton seniors and employees, according to township officials.
The modifications are:
- Limiting the number of passengers to eight to 10, depending on use of wheelchairs. This will mean one person per seat.
- Limiting stops to the following locations: Hayek’s, Shoprite, Walmart, and Weis
Town officials ask that patrons limit trips to lessen exposure to illness. These modifications will remain in place until officials determine it is safe to resume the regular schedule.
The town will continue to clean the buses.
Town officials caution the shuttle may need to be canceled in the future. They vow to keep the community updates if any changes are required.
