NEWTON, NJ— A Newton man pled guilty to two crimes when he went before Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 23

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced that Thomas Duffy, 35, of Newton, pled guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch. 

According to Koch, Duffy admitted to possessing, on his cell phone, digital images that depicted the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Duffy also admitted to possessing more than 50 grams of marijuana, which was recovered by police officers when they executed a search warrant of Duffy’s home. 

According to Koch, Duffy is scheduled for sentencing on Thursday, August 20.
