NEWTON, NJ—A Rockaway man is facing drug charges after being stopped for speeding on Water Street.  On December 18 around 12:15 a.m. Plt. John Flanagan stopped Brian Dolisi, 38, police said.

After being searched, Dolisi was found to have marijuana, three THC oil vape pens and drug paraphernalia used for processing and smoking pot, police said. 

Newton Police Officer Ptl. John Flanagan was conducting a traffic detail on Water Street on Wednesday, December 18, when he observed a vehicle speeding as it traveled southbound.

Dolisi was charged with  speeding, driving with suspended registration, possession of a narcotic in a motor vehicle, failure to possess a registration card and failure to notify of an address change.

Dolisi was released with a court date in Newton Municipal Court on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 9 a.m.
