SPARTA, NJ – A woman from Lafayette is facing shoplifting charges after walking out of a store with a jacket she did not pay for.  ON October 6 around 12:30 p.m. Officer Michael Poon responded to a report of shoplifting at Ocean State Job Lot store, according to police.

Stephanie Moore, 38 was reported by employees to have come into the store without a jacket and left the store wearing a black and white jacket.  Employees said after putting the jacket in her car she returned to the store, police said.

Poon spoke with Moore.  Initially she said store employees said she could wear the jacket out to her car to look for her wallet and cell phone.  She eventually admitted she did not pay for the jacket which still had the tags on it, police said.
