SPARTA, NJ- An Oak Ridge man is facing drug charges after getting pulled over for weaving on Lafayette Road.  On October 13 around 8 p.m. Officer Matthew Pletcher stopped Khalil Amro,23 in a white Mazda, police said.

When Pletcher spoke with Amro the officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.  Amro told Pletcher he liked to smoke pot before playing basketball, police said.

Amro told Pletcher he had a pot pipe that had marijuana in it on the back seat. Pletcher got the pipe and took Amro into custody.

Amro was taken to the Sparta Police Department Headquarters for processing.  He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and failure to maintain a lane.

He was given a court date and released.
