SPARTA, NJ – A weaving driver, Jessica Strnatko, caught the attention of Officer Michael Poon or Woodport Road.  On September 25 around 11:45 p.m. Poon saw a red Jeep unable to stay in the lane, police said.

Poon followed Strnatko onto Stanhope Road when the 35-year-old suddenly pulled onto the shoulder and turned on the hazards, police said.

Poon spoke with the Millington resident and the other two passengers to see if there was a problem.  Strnatko said she was following her GPS but did not want to be on her phone while driving.  Strnatko did not have her licenses to give to the officer, police said.

Passenger Stephanie Moore, 38 of Lafayette, gave Poon her name but said she did not have any identification, police said.

Poon found that Moore had three warrants out of Nutley, Saddle Brook and Hopatcong.  Strnatko’s license was also suspended, police said.

Strnatko was given a ticket for driving while suspended.  She made arrangements to have a licensed driver pick her up, police said.

Moore was found to have illegal prescription pills and marijuana.  She was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department Headquarters.  Moore was charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of marijuana.  Because of her criminal history Moore was brought to Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility.
