Newton Girls Basketball Sweep Past Warren Hills into the Finals

NEWTON, NJ—The sixth-seeded Newton High School Girls Basketball team swept second-seeded Warren Hills 55-42, in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex semi-finals. 

Kaitlyn Lynch, Newton’s top scorer this season, led the Braves in their victory on Saturday in the Wallkill Valley Regional High School gym.

Lynch had 15 points, making five 2-pointers, one 3-pointer, and two foul shots.

Newton Boys Basketball Falls to Delaware Valley after Crushing Lenape Valley

NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School Boys Basketball team fell to Delaware Valley in overtime losing in the quarterfinal round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament on Saturday.  They lost 67-62.

Newton Lenape Valley Ice Hockey Ties Pequannock

STOCKHOLM, NJ - The Newton Lenape Valley ice hockey team had a tie on Wednesday against Pequannock 5-5. 

NLV came out strong with three goals in the first period to the Panthers two.  Kyle Vandenberg scored first assisted by Ryan Vandenberg.  Tyler Sevean got the next NLV goal on the assist by Joe Davi.

NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School Wrestling team lost 39-24, a close match against High point when they played them away on Wednesday.

The results of the matches:

NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School Boys Basketball team destroyed Kittatinny 80-51 when they played them on the Cougar’s court on Tuesday.
