NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School boys basketball team won 61-55 over Jefferson when they played them away on Thursday.

Although Newton fell behind in the first half, going into halftime down by four, they came back in the second half to take the victory.

Aaron Fantasia put up 16 points, scoring three 2-pointers, two 3-pointers and four foul shots. Brian McKeown followed by one, with 15 points; four 2-pointers, one 3-pointer and dropped in four from the foul line.

Dylan Bailey contributed 10 points to the score. JD Heller contributed nine, Donovan Thomas added six more and Jack Young added another five.

The Braves moved their record to 8-4 overall and 0-1 in the NJAC division. They will host Dover on Tuesday, January 21 beginning at 7 p.m.
