NEWTON, NJ-  The boys got out in front of High Point on the Braves’ court on Tuesday 55-46.  Brian McKeown and Aaron Fantasia each put up 15 points.

Fantasia has scored 326 points for Newton this season.

Donovan Thomas dropped in eight points and JD Heller had seven.  Dylan Bailey and Jack Young contributed to the win.

Newton went into the half up by nine.  High Point went point for point in the second half, unable to makeup the lost ground.

The Braves are 13-5 and will host Hackettstown on Thursday with a 7 p.m. start.

Newton plays their first game of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament on Saturday at home after a bye in the first round.  Newton, ranked fourth, goes up against 13 seed Philipsburg beginning at 1 p.m.
