NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School boys soccer team lost 3-1 against second-seeded Glen Rock when they took them on away on Friday.

The Braves began the NJSIAA tournament as the seven-seeded team. They played against 10th seed team Elmwood Park and won 3-0 in the first round.

Glen Rock scored two goals in the first half, but Newton’s Robert Giordano scored their sole goal in the second.

Jackson Heller, Newton’s starting keeper had seven saves.

The Newton High School boys soccer team ended their season with an overall record of 14-7-1 and a NJAC division record of 10-5.
