NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School football team dominated against North Warren with a 40-7 win over them when they played them away on Friday.
Jack Young went to the air for 121 yards. Young connected with Dylan Bailey three times for 52 yards, R Pappas twice for 33 yards and Aaron Fantasia grabbed a 36 yard pass for a touchdown.
Fantasion had seven carries for 95 yards, running one in for six points. Takeo Sibbles had a dozen carries for 88 yards. Julian Sibblies also had seven carries for 57 yards and a touchtown. Young ran four for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
For the defense, Jabari Oxley grabbed one sack and Jacob Tonking led with seven tackles.
Fantasia took a pass from Young into the endzone to get Newton on the board. Young was next to score for the Braves off a 12 yard run. Fantasia then scored again on a 16 yard run.
Young came back again and scored the fourth touchdown for Newton on an 11 yard run, all before North Warren even got on the board once. Fantasia scored his last touchdown on a 10 yard run.
Newton scored 20 points in the first quarter and another 13 in the second. Fantasia and Young dominated the first half. Sibblies scored the final touchdown in the third quarter after a six yard run. North Warren also scored their sole touchdown in the third quarter.
The Newton High School football team is currently 4-2 overall this season. They will host Wallkill Valley on Friday, October 18. Kick-off will begin at 7 p.m.
