NEWTON, NJ—The Newton high School girls soccer team won by one over rival Kittatinny, when they played them away on Thursday. The ending score after a double overtime was 3-2.

Newton out shot Kittatinny 31-20. Caroline Fox the Braves' keeper had a total of 11 saves by the time the extended game was complete.  Kittatinny’s keeper had 23.

Blaise Vallorosi and Jessie Brannick got past Kittatinny's keeper; Vallorosi scored twice and Brannick scored one. Assists were made by Erin Smith and Jocelyn Mull.

The Newton High School girls soccer team is currently 11-7-2 overall and 9-4-1 in the NJAC division. They will play home against North Warren on Saturday, October 26 beginning at 12:30 p.m.
