NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School girls soccer team shut out High Point on Tuesday, winning 2-0, but lost against Blair 6-2 on Wednesday.

Newton played away against High Point and hosted Blair on Newton’s turf. Blair’s record currently is 2-1 and Newton’s is 4-3-1.

Newton out shot High Point 9-7. Goal keepers Madeline Gore and Carolina Fox had seven saves.

Gore had three and Fox had four. Scoring for Newton against High Point was Blaise Vallorosi and Jessie Brannick. Assists were made by Brannick and Taylor Squiers.

The Newton High School girls soccer team will host Hackettstown on Friday, September 20, beginning at 4 p.m.
