NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School girls soccer team won 4-1 over Hackettstown when they played them away on Tuesday.

The Braves scored two goals in the first half and two more in the second half to secure their win over Hackettstown.

Dana Catallano, Taylor Squiers, Lanie Scurali and Blaise Vallorosi put it in the net for Newton. They were assisted by Olivia Buckley who had two, Jocelyn Mull and Scuralli with one each.

Newton out shot Hackettstown 15-8. Madeline Gore, starting keeper for the Braves had five saves.

The Newton High School girls soccer team is 10-7-2 overall this season. They will play away at rival Kittatinny on Thursday, October 24, beginning at 4 p.m.
