NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School girls tennis team won two more matches this week, playing against Sussex County Technical School and Lenape Valley.

Newton hosted both teams and won 3-2 over both as well, Lenape on Wednesday and Sussex County Technical School on Tuesday.

First Singles: Arianna Gali (N) won over Zoe Moppert (LV) 3-6, 6-2, 6-2

Third Singles: Isabella Cautero (LV) won over Erika Ehrenberg (N) 6-0, 6-0


First doubles: Madeline Roth & Amber Singh (LV) won over Maddy Chymiy & Brittany Reimer (N) 6-2, 6-2

Second doubles: Olivia Martin & Hayden Caico (N) won over Amanda Zavist & Cameron Shepherd (LV) 3-6, 6-2


The results for the Sussex CountyTechnical School match:


First Singles: Arianna Gali (N) won over Lauren Mangino (ST) 6-0, 6-1

Second Singles: Eve Sylbvester (N) won over Ella Orellana (ST) 6-4, 6-3

Third Singles: Kaylee Westerfield (N) won over Valeria Ramirez (ST) 6-0, 6-1


First Doubles: Lauren Mosner & Samantha Murray (ST) won over Maddy Chymiy & Brittany Reimer (N) 3-6, 6-1, 6-2

Second Doubles: Victoria Cruz & Charlize Lowrey (ST) won over Olivia Martin & Erika Ehrenberg (N) 7-6 (7-2), 6-3

The Braves’ record is now 6-1 overall this season. They will host Newton rivals Kittatinny Cougars on Monday, September 23, beginning at 4 p.m.
